Dataset underlying the study "Assessing the importance of the near-field plume state on estuarine dynamics under varying wind directions"

The dataset contains the model output used to create the figures in the study "Assessing the importance of the near-field plume state on estuarine dynamics under varying wind directions". This dataset is compressed into a single .zip-file, and includes:<br>A README.txt file with additional information and conditions regarding the dataset;Two NetCDF datasets containing salinity, temperature, and velocity (u, v, w) for the two output locations used in the study (offshore location <strong>O</strong> and in-estuary location <strong>E</strong>). These datasets also contain the decomposition into an along-channel/cross-channel component (for <strong>E</strong>) and an alongshore/cross-shore (for <strong>O</strong>) component;A NetCDF dataset containing spatial averages of dissipation and depth-integrated salinity variance for the entire domain (used for Figure 5 and 6);A NetCDF dataset containing all the output locations along the thalweg of the New Waterway, New Meuse, and Lek branches (used to generate Figure 8);Two NetCDF datasets per wind direction time selection containing output (volume transport and salt transport) from the TEF analysis at output location "NW_1030.00" made with 250 bins (used for Figure 9).<br>The raw data underlying these reduced datasets exceeds upload capacity and can only be explicitly requested from the authors.
