Lactococcus garvieae MS210922A genome sequencing. Lactococcus garvieae

Lactococcus garvieae is a causative agent of Lactococcosis in farmed genus Seriola such as yellowtail, greater amberjack, and kingfish in Japan. In 2021, new serotype of L. garvieae strain was isolated from greater amberjack. This strain did not aggregate with either anti-serotype I L. garvieae serum or anti-serotype II L. garvieae serum. To investigate genetic information about the new serotype L. garvieae, we report the complete genome sequence of strain MS210922A. This strain was isolated from farmed greater amberjack in Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan in September 2021. The genome sequence data of MS210922A strain will be useful for comparative analysis with serotype I and serotype II L. garvieae.
