Genome sequence of methicillin-resistant Mammaliicoccus sciuri isolated from farmed goats and cattle at Terengganu and Kelantan

The data obtained from this study would give us a clearer picture of the genetic makeup of methicillin-resistant Mammaliicoccus sciuri from goats in Malaysia, particularly the state of Terengganu. This would enable veterinary department management and department of agriculture administrators to better understand the extent of antibiotic resistance in M.sciuri and thus develop appropriate guidelines and policies to manage and overcome the spread of this deadly pathogen in our local settings.
