This review summarizes findings from scientific papers regarding the safety of vaccines against sheep pox and related capripoxvirus infections. The data extracted include vaccine types, adverse reactions, pregnancy safety, virus shedding, and key safety conclusions. The search was performed on 26th November 2025 using the query " Are commercially available vaccines against sheep and goat pox safe in term of severity of adverse reactions, risk of virus shedding and compatibility with pregnancy of animals?" across over 138 million academic papers from the Elicit search engine, which includes all of Semantic Scholar and OpenAlex.
