资源简介:
[Background]: Nuclear radiation imaging relies on position-sensitive detectors, which generally require many channels of readout electronics. The traditional signals readout methods use a resistor-matrix network for the charge division, which significantly reduces the number of electronic channels, but the energy resolution degrades significantly. [Purpose]:This study aims to design a serial readout circuit that reduces the number of electronic channels while ensuring good energy resolution. [Methods]:The detector uses CsI (Tl) scintillators arranged in a 4 × 4 array and coupled with a SiPM array to generate current signals. After passing through a serial resistor network, the current signals are converted into the voltage signals through the charge-sensitive preamplifiers at both ends. Therefore, only two channels of readout electronics are required for single detector module, and the position of the detectors are identified using the amplitude ratio of the dual-end signals. [Results ]: The experimental results for 662 keV energy show that when the relative position resolution of the detector is 0.54%, the measured energy resolution can reach 6.51%.[Conclusions]: The serial readout circuit presented in this study offers an innovative solution for radiation imaging by reducing the number of required electronic channels and ensuring good energy resolution, potentially leading to more efficient and cost-effective imaging systems
