Single-cell RNA sequencing of peripheral blood from Schnitzler syndrome patients before and after canakinumab treatment

We conducted a multicenter, open-label, single-arm phase II trial (SCan Study) to evaluate the efficacy and safety of canakinumab in 5 Japanese patients with Schnitzler syndrome (SchS), based on a similar study conducted in Germany. In this trial, single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) of peripheral blood were performed in 2 cases to identify IL1B-expressing cells, using 10x Genomics scRNA-seq. Peripheral blood samples were collected from 2 active SchS patients (a 68-year-old male and a 55-year-old male) who presented with fever, rash, and IgM-kappa type monoclonal gammopathy, both before and 14 days after canakinumab administration. *************************************************************** Raw files for human/patient samples were not submitted to GEO due to concerns about submitting personally identifiable sequence data for open access. ***************************************************************
