The Le Souëf Family Archives Guide to Records documents and contextualises the records of the Le Souëf Family, who played a prominent and influential role in the development of the Royal Melbourne Australia. Included in the collection are publications, correspondence, photographs and glass plate slides, news clippings, and personal papers documenting the lives and work of the Le Souëf Family. The collection documented by the Guide consists of 365 inventory items, mostly paper format files, grouped into 18 series. The total collection occupies 820 linear cm of shelf space (or its equivalent).
The Guide is the output of a research database. It was published online by the eScholarship Research Centre in 2008. Work on the Guide was started by the Australian Science Archives Project in 1994, and continued by the Australian Science and Technology Heritage Centre.
The records are held by the State Library of Victoria (MS 13490). The collection was listed by Gavan McCarthy, Andrea Barnes and other Australian Science and Technology Heritage Centre staff.
