Security index figures

The safety index is a measure of safety nearby. The lower the figure, the safer it is. The index is calculated every four months for all 108 neighborhoods in the Amsterdam police region. These include the municipalities of Amsterdam, Aalsmeer, Amstelveen, Diemen, Ouder-Amstel and Uithoorn. The safety index makes it possible to compare neighbourhoods and shows how safety changes over time. The safety index consists of three sub-indexes: crime, nuisance and insecurity experience. In addition to the indices per district or neighbourhood, the datasets also contain the underlying figures on which the indices are based such as High Impact crime, nuisance and risk perception.
