The Zeya Reservoir is a large-scale reservoir situated in the upper and middle reaches of the Zeya River within Amur Oblast, Russia, and it is the largest reservoir in the Amur River basin. The Zeya River is the largest tributary on the left bank of the Amur River, originating from the Stanovoy Range and emptying into the Amur River near Blagoveshchensk (Hailanpao). Russia built the Zeya Dam in the deep valley near the city of Zeya, and the Zeya Reservoir commenced operation in 1957. The four extreme geographic coordinates of the Zeya Reservoir are: west to 126°56'32" E, east to 129°6'13" E; south to 53°46'5" N, north to 54°48'33" N. According to data measured via Google Earth remote sensing imagery, the Zeya Reservoir stretches 204 kilometers from near Bomnak in the north to Zeya City in the south, with a maximum width of 57 kilometers. The water area of the reservoir totals 2,262.36 square kilometers, and the perimeter of the water coverage area is 2,218.34 kilometers. The data of the Zeya Reservoir is stored in .kmz and .shp formats, with a compressed data size of 7.65 MB.
