Investigating Artemisinin Resistance in Nigerian Isolates of Plasmodium falciparum

This project aims to provide comprehensive genomic data on Plasmodium falciparum isolates collected from patients in Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria. The study focuses on understanding the genetic diversity and potential drug resistance markers of this malaria-causing parasite. The generated whole genome sequencing data will contribute to ongoing efforts in malaria research, surveillance, and control strategies in Nigeria and beyond, enhancing our understanding of the epidemiology and evolution of malaria in urban settings
