资源简介:
The study investigates the structural relationship model between basic needs and intimate partner violence (IPV), with a focus on the mediating effects of gender discrimination and self-esteem. The researchers aim to understand the mechanisms through which basic needs relate to IPV and how gender discrimination and self-esteem contribute to this relationship. The study proposes that basic needs (such as safety, belonging, and esteem) play a role in influencing the occurrence of IPV. The researchers suggest that this relationship is mediated by two factors: gender discrimination and self-esteem. Gender discrimination refers to unfair treatment or biases based on gender, which may lead to power imbalances and contribute to IPV. Self-esteem, on the other hand, refers to an individual's perception of their self-worth, and it can impact how they respond to situations, including potentially abusive ones.
