Whole genome analysis of Nesidiocoris tenuis

This project involves the whole genome analysis of Nesidiocoris tenuis, a predatory natural enemy insect. This species is promising in agriculture as a natural adversary against micro and lepidopteran pests. For its whole genome analysis, we created a chromosome-level whole genome by combining long-read and short-read sequencing techniques, along with Hi-C. We conducted structural annotation of this sequence, as well as functional annotation of the gene-coding regions. The ultimate goal is to utilize the data obtained in the breeding of this species and in the identification of beneficial traits.
