12 female mice were split randomly into two groups of 6 mice each. For the superovulation (PMSG combined with GnRHa, PG) group, mice were administered 7.5 IU of PMSG (Ningbo Sansheng Biological Technology Co., Ltd) by an Intra-peritoneal (i.p) injection, followed by an i.p injection of 3.5 μg of GnRHa (Leuprorelin, Selleckchem) 48 h later. At the same time, the female mice mated to males which received a vasectomy. The control (CTR) group mice were not treated with hormones and mated with males which received a vasectomy during estrus. Vaginal plugs confirmed successfully mating the following day when it was designated 1-day post coitum (dpc). We collected the ovary and uterine horn of pseudopregnant mice on 2 dpc mornings and 4 dpc nights. The ovary and uterine was stored in an RNAlaterTM solution (Invitrogen) at -20 °C until RNA extraction.
