Tidal Wetlands of New Hampshire

Tidal wetland systems are important transitional habitats between the ocean and land. Salt marshes in particular provide essential functions and values from a human perspective. They support healthy fisheries, protect shorelines from erosion, reduce flooding, protect water quality, and provide essential fish and wildlife habitat. This data set is intended to establish a baseline to document statewide tidal wetland change over time. It focuses on salt marsh system response to relative sea level rise, documenting both changing quality and quantity of this habitat.
