Integration & Diversity Monitor 2023 Vienna

Since 2007, the integration and diversity monitoring of the city of Vienna has made the changes in the Vienna immigration society visible. Integration monitoring is an instrument of the Department of Integration and Diversity of the City of Vienna, which serves to identify whether immigration or education abroad or the immigration of parents make a difference in terms of social position, income, educational participation, employment, health, choice and availability of housing or social and political participation. The monitoring serves the systematic observation and the accompanying visualisation of the life situation of the Viennese population. Diversity Monitoring examines how the city’s administration deals with the increasing diversity of the population: Are the services, products and measures of the city adapted to the different needs of its inhabitants in a need- and target group-oriented manner? How is diversity management anchored in the city’s departments and how is the diversity of the population reflected among the employees of the City of Vienna? Monitoring was commissioned in 2022 and the study publication was published on 21 November 2023.
