Flower morphology and nectar sugar content of Ranunculus acris from 57 grassland plots in 2023-2024

The aim of this study is to analyse the effects of land-use menagement on floral traits and their variation in a population. Trait variation can affect plant-pollinator interactions, hence we studied the changes in floral cues (display size) and rewards (nectar sugar content) in a common, self-incompatible meadow plant - Ranunculus acris. This data has been collected from all the plots that had R. acris in sufficient abundance. The data contains flower size dimensions, height from the ground, number of flowers per plant individual, and nectar sucrose content from the grassland plots of two exploratories - Schwäbische Alb, and Hainich-Dün. The sampling took place in April-May in 2023-2024.
