Today the role of the Russian language deserves special attention, since it is about preserving national identity. For centuries, the Russian language has ensured the connection of generations, continuity, mutual enrichment of ethnic cultures. Thanks to the Russian language, Russia was formed into a single, multinational civilization. Now in the period of the acute fight against terrorism, in the New world order that is being establishing, Russia needs, as never before, an offensive language policy and systemic, both within the country and abroad.
The main objective of the state language policy is the preservation and development of the Russian language as one of the most important components of the national culture and spirit and the means of transmitting traditions to future generations. But no less important is the task of popularizing the Russian language, Russian education and science abroad, including in Spain, Latin America and the Caribbean.
