Nordic Seas Tsunami Database
收藏资源简介:
The first version of the Nordic Seas Tsunami Database was produced as a contribution to the European tsunami catalogue established by the EU GITEC project in the early 1990s. The database has been continually extended and revised since then. It presently contains descriptions of more than 90 tsunami events in the Nordic Seas. Most events are based on historical reports and observations, but some go much longer back in time based on geological evidence. The format of the database originates from the GITEC project and is now revised for inclusion in the coming version 03 of the European-Mediterranean Tsunami Catalogue (EMTC, https://doi.org/10.13127/tsunami/emtc.2.0; Maramai et al., 2019, https://doi.org/10.13127/tsunami/emtc.1.0). Every event in the Catalogue spreadsheet is given a Case ID that can be retrieved in the other files with References (and reference IDs) and longer Descriptions. The map figure presents the location and the year of each event. The most recent updates of the Nordic Seas Tsunami Database are supported by the Geo-INQUIRE project funded by the European Commission under the HORIZON-INFRA-2021-SERV-01 call, Grant Agreement No. 101058518. The database is one of the NGI contributions to the GEO-INQUIRE Virtual Access (VA2-33-4, see https://www.geo-inquire.eu/virtual-access/geohazard-and-multi-risk-assessment for details).
