Comparative Genomics in pine trees

We use whole-genome resequencing in the Pinus species to: (a) explore the extent of genome-wide genealogical discordance among the closely related pine species; (b) examine the genomic landscapes of diversity across these species; and (c) identify signatures of different forms of selection along the genome. The main aim of this study is to understand how the multitude of evolutionary processes shaped the patterns of genetic variation among different pine species.
