Technical measures to reduce dust and NOX emissions from fluidised bed boilers and alkali combustion boilers

This study provides an overview of the NOx and dust emissions of the Austrian paper and pulp industry. Two types of steam boilers are described in more detail: alkali combustion (or chemical recovery boilers) and fluidised bed boilers (WSK) for incineration of sludge, bark, coal and waste. In these two types of boilers, most of the required process energy is provided.
