The musical score for "Patriotic Hymn: The Oak and the Union Jack" written by Henry Pottinger Stephens (1851-1903) and composed by F. Pascal. Printed London: Geo. Barber.
Stephens is the great grandfather of John Jenkinson, the depositor. He worked as a journalist before starting to write for the stage. He wrote lyrics for burlesques and comic operas as well as novels, plays, pantomimes and a revue, and he also acted in some of them. Christabel Elinor Isabel Stephens was John Jenkinson's grandmother (married Stanley Noel Jenkinson in 1913). The family know that John's grandmother and her sister were on the stage.
