资源简介:
This study investigates the role of aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) in metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) using AHR-deficient (AHR-/-) and wild-type (WT) rats fed a high-fat, high-fructose, high-cholesterol diet (HFHFrHCD) for 10 weeks. The dataset includes gut microbiome sequencing data from liver tissues of these rats, aiming to explore how AHR deficiency influences gut microbial diversity and its contribution to hepatic lipid accumulation and insulin resistance during MAFLD progression. Our findings suggest that AHR regulates cholesterol metabolism by modulating bile acid synthesis and maintaining gut microbiota homeostasis, with AHR deficiency leading to dysbiosis and exacerbated liver injury.
