VPRS 16848 Royal Children's Hospital Auxiliary Trust Account Book

This series comprises an account book in which is recorded monthly accounts for all Auxiliaries in the first half of the book and an Auxiliary Organiser section in the second half of the book which is arranged alphabetically by name of Auxiliary. This section includes the only known reference to 'The Dog House Club'.The auxiliary movement commenced in 1922 with the aim of raising funds and supplying articles to the RCH. Auxiliaries currently consist of community groups including like-minded business people, parents, students, young people and senior citizens.At the time of writing (2013), some Auxiliaries have wound-up and others are still in operation.Note: Minutes, correspondence and financial records for various Royal Children's Hospital Auxiliaries may be found in VPRS 16829.Prior to transfer to Public Record Office Victoria, the records in this series were maintained as part of the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Archives. They were part of RCH accession number 2000/0007.
