Ethnicity in Australian Film Research Collection

The ethnicity in Australian film research collection is based on a number of essays written by RMIT Cinema Studies students who discuss the topic of ethnicity and how it is represented and portrayed within Australian cinema. In creating the essays the students had to create records within the Bonza database that were references for the essays they wrote. The essays within the collection focus on a number of films (some listed include Only the Brave, They're a Weird Mob, Strictly Ballroom, Mike and Stefani) that have as a theme a strong ethnic representation or portrayal. The students have analysed the films and have drawn conculsions about the representation of ethnicity and the various issues and situations encountered. The records within the Bonza database include information about the films (including cast, crew, company involvement, and references about the different films within the collection).
