DISC - Dynamics of International Executives En komparativ studie av EU-kommisjonen, OECD sekretariatet og WTO-sekretariatet

The dataset is part of the research project "DISC - Dynamics of International Executives. A Comparative Study of the European Commission, the OECD Secretariat and the WTO Secretariat", coordinated by Jarle Trondal and financed partly by the Joint Committee of the Nordic Social Science Research Councils and partly by the Research Council of Norway. The focal point of the survey are the seconded national experts in the Commission. Both their working methods and attitudes are examined. Particularly interesting is the question of their sense of belonging. Is it tied mostly to their country of origin or to the supranational level? Also, do they work mainly as independent experts or are they used by national governments to promote their countries' political wishes?
