KHE dataset

The KHE Dataset contains machine-readable scholarly editions of Czech poems published within the Critical Hybrid Edition series produced by the Institute of Czech Literature of the Czech Academy of Sciences. The source material originates from the Critical Hybrid Edition, a scholarly publishing project in which printed critical editions are accompanied by digital editions, originally distributed either on optical media or through dedicated websites. The dataset is distributed in both JSON and TEI XML formats. The data are organized around three core entities: Document – an abstract representation of a poem, encompassing all known textual versions. Version – a particular textual witness of a poem, published in a book, journal, manuscript, or another source. Bibliography – a bibliographic source (e.g. a book, journal issue, or manuscript) containing one or more poem versions. The data are maintained in a public GitLab repository at https://git.ucl.cas.cz/khe/data. Zenodo releases provide archived, citable snapshots of the continuously evolving dataset.
