Dataset for physiological and metabolomic responses of sugarcane and energy cane under osmotic stress, root-zone cooling and combined stress

This dataset contains physiological, biometric and metabolomic data from sugarcane (IACSP95-5000) and energy cane (Vertix 3) plants subjected to root-zone stress under controlled conditions. Plants were exposed to reference conditions, osmotic stress, root-zone cooling and combined osmotic stress plus root-zone cooling, followed by a recovery phase. The dataset includes gas exchange, chlorophyll fluorescence, leaf water status, biomass, root-to-shoot ratio and GC-MS metabolite profiling data from roots and leaves. The data were used to evaluate genotype-specific physiological and metabolic responses associated with stress tolerance and recovery capacity in sugarcane and energy cane.
