American alligator body-size measurements (Florida, 1981-1990)

This dataset contains individual-level body-size measurements for 3,308 American alligators (Alligator mississippiensis) collected during a 10-year experimental harvest program in Florida (1981–1990). Sampling covers three lake systems—Lochloosa, Newnans, and Orange Lake—considered representative of typical unharvested size distributions. The spreadsheet includes total length (TL, cm) together with associated metadata such as collection date, locality, auxiliary morphometrics, and field notes.
