The role of phytoplankton in the deep chlorophyll maximum CO2 dynamics along a zonal section (34.5°S) in South Atlantic Ocean - Data availability
收藏资源简介:
We present biogeochemical and chemotaxonomic phytoplankton groups data from 59 subsurface stations along South Atlantic Ocean sampled in the MSM60 cruise (https://doi.org/10.2312/cr_msm60). We estimated nitrate, silicate and phosphate concentrations via the Bayesian neural network CANYON-B (Bittig et al., 2018). We estimated pCO2 using seacarb package (Gattuso et al., 2023) in R using oceanographic data (potential temperature, salinity and dissolved oxygen) and measured total alkalinity (TA) and total inorganic carbon (DIC). The total phytoplankton biomass (total chlorophyll-a) and phytoplankton chemotaxonomic groups relative contributions (prasinophytes, chlorophytes, cryptophytes, diatoms, pelagophytes, dinoflagellates, haptophytes, Synechococcus and Prochlorococcus) were identified using the HPLC-CHEMTAX approach (Mackey et al., 1996) following Zapata et al. (2000).
