This classification provides encoded information about the “state” of an observation (with respect to the events reflected in the codes that make up the classification). Observation status provides information about 1) data quality or 2) unusual or unavailable data. The codes on this list are known to be heterogeneous, meaning they represent different concepts. They are placed in the same classification for practical and historical implementation reasons. Version: 2.1, 15 September 2016.
