Small RNA libraries constructed from clinical nasopharyngeal (swabs or aspirates) samples that were collected from 20 SARS-CoV-2 infected patients at two different time points (T1 and T2). The infection was determined by reverse transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) in the hospital. T1 corresponds to an initial time at which the first symptoms appear (about 5-7 days post-infection), while T2 corresponds to a late time (about 19-21 days post-infection, resulting in a difference of aprox. 14). In addition, nasopharyngeal swabs from 10 patients that resulted negative in SARS-CoV-2 infection were also collected as a control group.
