Sepsis associated encephalopathy (SAE) is a complex complication of sepsis and it brings abnormal emotional and memory dysfunctions and even increases the mortality of patients in the progression of sepsis. The alterations and abnormal functions of patients lays on the specific brain regions and possibly the hippocampus, which is one of the major brain regions responsible for the memory and emotional control. In the study, we determined to combine the combining RNA-seq-based transcriptomics and LC-MS-based metabolomics to comprehensively obtain the enriched genes and metabolites and their core network pathways in the LPS-injected SAE mice model with integrative analysis.
