Gender Representation in Ophthalmology Authorship

This dataset and manuscript examine gender representation in authorship within ophthalmology during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. We analyzed trends in first author (trainee) and senior author positions to evaluate shifts in gender distribution across this period. The findings highlight disparities in academic publishing and provide insights into how the pandemic affected equity and representation in ophthalmology research.
