The Research to Reality toolkit aims to support teams to meaningfully involve patients, carers, service users and the public in the implementation of health and social care research evidence into practice.Research to Reality evolved out of an NIHR funded research project PIPER (NIHR150711) that used a realist methodology to pull together the latest understanding of patient and public involvement in implementation, then a co-design methodology to develop this toolkit. The co-design brought a range of perspectives together and drew on insights, experiences, expertise, and creativity every step of the way.
