Supplementary Data and Materials for "Integrating Local Wisdom into Indonesian Science Education for Sustainable Development: A Systematic Literature Review"

This repository contains the supplementary data and materials supporting the systematic literature review entitled “Integrating Local Wisdom into Indonesian Science Education for Sustainable Development: A Systematic Literature Review.” The review followed the PRISMA 2020 reporting framework and examined empirical studies published between 2021 and 2026. Literature searches were conducted using Scopus, Crossref, Google Scholar, and Semantic Scholar. A total of 1,273 records were identified, of which 26 studies met the eligibility criteria and were included in the final synthesis. The deposited materials document the study-selection, data-extraction, coding, and synthesis processes. The extracted information covers publication characteristics, research locations, educational levels, science topics, types of local wisdom, pedagogical approaches, learning resources, reported learning outcomes, Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)-related competencies, implementation challenges, research gaps, and recommendations for future research. The dataset supports the descriptive mapping and thematic synthesis reported in the article. The included studies were coded from A01 to A26 to facilitate data tracking and comparison. Multi-label coding was applied where a study addressed more than one science domain. For the Sankey visualisation, each study was assigned one dominant learning-integration approach and one primary reported outcome to maintain visual clarity. The materials are provided to enhance the transparency, traceability, and reproducibility of the review and may support future research on local wisdom, ethnoscience, indigenous knowledge, culturally responsive science education, and ESD in Indonesia. The repository contains bibliographic and review-derived data and does not include personally identifiable participant data. Users should cite this Zenodo repository when reusing the deposited materials. Once the associated article has been published, users should also cite the final journal article.
