The dataset contains the data used to create the five main figures in the publication "Forest-savanna stability in India under human interventions and changing climate". The data for Figures 1, 2, and 3 are in .mat format, and the 4 and 5 (a and b) are in .xlsx format. Data for Figure 5 (c) is compressed in a Zip file with three CSV files. Each file is named according to the figure number..Fig1_data.mat data includes the data for tree cover classes (Low tree cover, savanna, and forest) for 2001 and 2020, the gain and loss in tree cover from 2001 to 2020, and the change in tree cover classes. The file also contains latitude and longitude to plot the spatial plots.Fig2_data.mat includes the data for the likelihood of tree cover classes for 2001, and the difference between the likelihoods of the 2020 savanna and forest, predicted by the 2001 and 2020 models. The file also contains latitude and longitude to plot the spatial plots.Fig3_data.mat includes the data for the change in likelihood at the end of the century (2071-2100) compared to 1971-2000.
