Water velocity and other parameters taken by ADCP from the research vessel Norseman II during Arctic Marine Biodiversity Observing Network, AMBON, cruise in the Chukchi Sea from 2015-08-10 to 2015-09-04 (NCEI Accession 0227758)

This dataset contains the edited ship's Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) underway data (horizontal and vertical water velocity components and SST) from the research vessel Norseman II collected in the Chukchi Sea during the 10 August - 4 September 2015 Arctic Marine Biodiversity Observing Network (AMBON) research cruise. The dataset includes bottom depth, water temperature, and water velocity averaged at 30-minute intervals along the ship's route. The data provides information on important Arctic Chukchi Sea ecosystem parameters related to the water masses entering the Chukchi Sea from the Pacific through Bering Strait.

The data are in ASCII dat file and were transformed from the native format to netCDF as per NCEI guidelines.
