We used the data made available in PMID:26997279 to look at diversity of Klebsiella oxytoca and closely related species in the faecal shotgun metagenomes of preterm infants. We found that Klebsiella michiganensis is more widespread in samples than Klebsiella oxytoca, which may be of clinical relevance in the context of necrotizing enterocolitis.
