Using RAD-seq (Restriction-site Associated DNA sequencing) technology, we sequenced and analyzed 30 samples from seven populations of Primula wilsonii, identifying and calling a total of 18,313 single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) sites. Through in-depth analysis of population structure, we revealed the genetic structure and genetic diversity of Primula wilsonii. We also analyzed its population dynamic history and performed ecological niche modeling to reveal the population changes and distribution range evolution of Primula wilsonii in the past and present, as well as its adaptation to environmental changes and predicted its future distribution trends. These studies not only help to deepen the understanding of the species' biological characteristics, evolutionary history, and ecological adaptability but also lay the foundation for the protection of endangered populations, the maintenance of biodiversity, and the formulation of scientific ecosystem management strategies.
