This dataset is the supporting data for the manuscript "Hydrological mechanisms involved in the formation of the near-surface dry soil layer under arid conditions"Repository Description:This repository includes the HYDRUS-1D model setup for bare soil conditions, along with the corresponding datasets and analysis-related information required to reproduce the simulations.Software Description:The simulations are based on the HYDRUS-1D model for coupled water–heat–vapor transport in bare soil. Users are recommended to use the latest version of HYDRUS-1D to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.Code Description:The data analysis in this study is based on XGBoost-SHAP and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM).
