Dove Time Series WP2 Microsope and FlowCam

Zooplankton (predominantly haloplankton) abundance per metre3 data from 1969 - 2008; 55.116667, -1.33333; collected monthly weather permitting via a WP2 net towed vertically 4 times, processing consisted of subsampling using a stempel pipette and all predominantly holoplankton identified or Each sample was gently mixed by inverting several times and then > 1mm fraction analysed under a microscope. 100ml of the sample was taken and loaded into a Folsom plankton splitter. The Folsom sample was split until estimated visually to be of a suitable density for subsequent analysis in the FlowCAM image analyser. The Folsom fraction was then placed in a small beaker and further diluted, typically to 50ml.
