HyNetSys: Hybrid Network and System Dataset for DoS and DDoS Attack Detection

The increasing prevalence of Denial of Service (DoS) and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks poses significant threats to network security. This dataset, HyNetSys: Hybrid Network and System Dataset for DoS and DDoS Attack Detection, combines system and network data to enhance attack detection accuracy. The dataset includes 84 features and 1 label of network traffic captured using Wireshark and processed by CICFlowMeter and 12 features of system logs captured by Windows Performance Monitor. The data spans both benign and attack scenarios, providing a comprehensive resource for the development of machine learning models in detection of DoS and DDoS attacks. This dataset offers valuable insights into the integration of system and network information for improved cybersecurity.
