Multispectral UAV Imagery Dataset of the Mikrokleisoura Oak Forest, Grevena, Greece (DJI Mavic 3M, July 2026)

This dataset comprises multispectral aerial imagery and Post-Processed Kinematic (PPK) GNSS positioning data acquired with a DJI Mavic 3M drone over a ~300-stremma (~30 ha) section of the Mikrokleisoura oak forest, Municipal District of Ventziou, Grevena, Western Macedonia, Greece. The survey was conducted on 29 July 2026 as a single flight, comprising 589 capture points and a total of 2,945 image files across five spectral channels (RGB, Green, Red, Red Edge, and Near-Infrared). The Mikrokleisoura forest is owned and managed by the Mandatory Cooperative for the Management of the Undivided Forest of Mikrokleisoura (Α.Σ.Δ.Α.Δ. Μικροκλεισούρας), a cooperative established in 1957 that jointly manages roughly 3,950 stremma (~395 ha) of oak forest in total, on the southern slopes of Mount Vourinos, at elevations between 470 and 850 m. The stand is dominated by deciduous oak species (Quercus conferta, Q. macedonica, Q. cerris, Q. pubescens, Q. sessiliflora), bounded to the north by the Aliakmonas river. The ~300-stremma area covered by this dataset represents a subset of the cooperative's estate. The dataset includes: 2,945 multispectral image files (589 capture points × 5 bands: RGB, Green, Red, Red Edge, NIR) captured with the DJI Mavic 3M GNSS positioning data files (RINEX .obs/.nav and DJI binary log) for PPK post-processing Flight position log (Timestamp.MRK) Intended applications include forest inventory, canopy and vegetation health assessment, and photogrammetric mapping of the surveyed area.
