Overview: This dataset presents the results of an in-depth content analysis of menstrual product advertisements from the top 10 menstrual product brands in China (Sofy, Whisper, Kotex, Laurier, Space 7, Ladycare, ABC, Freemore, Libresse, and Free). The analysis focused on the social media platforms Weibo and Little Red Book, encompassing a total of 600 posts collected on October 25th, 2023. The dataset offers a comprehensive view of the content strategies employed by leading menstrual product brands on two prominent social media platforms, providing valuable insights into advertising practices and societal perceptions related to menstruation.
