RevPAR of hotels in the Nordic capitals 2020, by month

The coronavirus pandemic caused significant disruptions in the hospitality industry across the globe. In the Nordic region, this can be seen in the decline in the revenue per available room (RevPAR) of hotels in capital cities from April onwards due to restrictions in non-essential travels worldwide. Hotels in Reykjavik experienced the most dramatic price drop from March to April when hotels cost just one euro per night. RevPAR continued to drop on the fourth quarter of 2020, with hotel rooms generating revenue as low as three euros per available room.
