资源简介:
Escherichia coli (Ecoli) is a facultative gram negative, rod shaped, coliform bacteria. Blastn analysis was performed between the Escherichia coli (E coli U00096.2) and Human genome (Homosapiens Hg38). Similarities or alignments were observed between these two genomic sequences. The accompanying dataset shows the results which includes similar alignments and similar short segments. E coli exists as a commensal and a pathogen in the gut and as a pathogen in the urinary tract. It is associated with various diseases related to the gastrointestinal and urinary tract. These commensal cum pathogen can have epigenetic interactions in the major areas of gene expression, and thereby regulating immune related disorders like type1 diabetes, celiac disease, SLE etc. Specifically, when the locus of human genome 6p21 was analysed there were alignments overlapping with Ecoli genome by Blastn. However, further large studies are required to study the genome interactions, epigenetic modifications and disease expression in depth between the Ecoli and human genome.
