A multi-agent based cooperative approach to scheduling and routing

•Developed a generic open source agent based system for scheduling and routing.
•Each agent can instantiate a different metaheuristic and local heuristic combination.
•Proposed system allows agents to share partial solutions during the search.
•A cooperative approach based on this generic system is evaluated on two domains.
•Improving results for vehicle routing and up to date for permutation flowshop.
