A total of three bulk soil samples were floated to recover organic fragments suitable for
radiocarbon analysis. These samples were recovered from two paleoearthquake trenches in
the Nevada desert. Botanic components and detrital charcoal were identified, and potentially
radiocarbon datable material was separated.
