NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer Data Management Plan : 2023 Field Season

The NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer(EX) is owned and maintained by the NOAA Office of Marine and Aviation Operations (OMAO) and operated by the NOAA Ocean Exploration and the Global Foundation for Ocean Exploration (GFOE). EX is NOAA’s only vessel solely dedicated to exploration of the deep ocean. The ship also deploys the remotely operated vehicles (ROV) Deep Discoverer and Seirios. At the conclusion of each expedition, data are sent to NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) for archive and public access. This document outlines the plan for managing data and information recorded, collected, or otherwise generated by EX during the 2023 Field Season. This plan is intended to support a comprehensive and standardized approach to identifying, acquiring, displaying, archiving, and publishing EX mission data and information.
