Speaker diaphragm is a critical component in loudspeakers, responsible for converting electrical signals into mechanical vibrations to produce sound. Diaphragms are usually manufactured from lightweight and rigid materials, and owing to their advantages of light weight, rigidity and damping, they have extensive applications in daily life. This dataset conducts statistical analysis on the monthly purchase amount data of speaker diaphragms from purchasers in Jiangsu Province, to classify these purchasers into different tiers, so as to provide data support for enterprises to formulate targeted strategies based on the purchasing preferences of each purchaser. For instance, enterprises can increase the production of products in the specifications purchased by "Tier A purchasers", maintain the production volume of products purchased by "Tier B purchasers", and reduce the production of products purchased by "Tier C purchasers". 1. Data Collection: Collect the monthly purchase amount data of speaker diaphragms from purchasers in Jiangsu Province. 2. Data Processing: Calculate the purchase proportion of each purchaser via the formula: Purchaser's Purchase Proportion = (Monthly Purchase Amount of the Purchaser / Total Monthly Purchase Amount) * 100%, where the total monthly purchase amount refers to the sum of purchase amounts from all participating purchasers. 3. Data Application: Classify the purchasers using the ABC classification method as follows: - Purchasers with a purchase proportion exceeding 8% are categorized as "Tier A purchasers", for whom enterprises should increase the production of products matching their purchased specifications; - Purchasers with a purchase proportion ranging from 3% to 8% (including 8%) are categorized as "Tier B purchasers", for whom enterprises should maintain the production volume of products matching their purchased specifications; - Purchasers with a purchase proportion ranging from 0% to 3% (including 3%) are categorized as "Tier C purchasers", for whom enterprises should reduce the production of products matching their purchased specifications. By formulating differentiated management strategies for purchasers of different tiers, the overall performance of the supply chain can be improved.
